About

The first meeting of the Snake River Chapter of the National Audubon Society took place April 15, 1976.  It was mostly a business meeting.  The second meeting was scheduled for 8 PM, May 20, 1976 at the 17th Street Bank of Commerce, and would include a slide show about the Market Lake Wildlife Management Area.

Those regular meetings continue to this day, the third Thursday of every month but June, July, August, and December.  We usually have at least 1 bird watching field trip a month including at least 2 Christmas Bird Counts, and many other activities.
